kānuka & tallow night cream

Tallow is a traditional skincare ingredient valued for its rich composition and compatibility with human skin. There is no mystery to why it has been used for centuries....

The benefits are as follows: 

1. Deep Moisturization and Emollience:
   • Tallow is rich in fatty acids like oleic acid (40-50%) and stearic acid (20-30%), which closely mimic human sebum, making it highly compatible and absorbable.
   • Provides long-lasting hydration, softening dry or rough skin, ideal for face creams targeting a dewy, nourished glow.
2. Nutrient-Rich Profile:
   • Contains fat-soluble vitamins A, D, E, and K, especially in grass-fed tallow, which support skin repair, elasticity, and protection against environmental damage.
   • High in conjugated linoleic acid (CLA), an anti-inflammatory compound that soothes irritation and can reduce acne or redness.
3. Strengthens Skin Barrier:
   • Reinforces the skin’s lipid barrier, reducing transepidermal water loss and protecting against irritants like pollution or harsh weather.

My kānuka & tallow night cream is semi-whipped. It melts beautifully into the skin (only a small amount is required). I found it perfect for a night cream (hence my labelling) because it is thicker than other creams.
